This is a hard drive holder for a 2.5" Hdd or SSD that allows you to make your own external disk with an internal portable hard drive/ssd that uses the USB-C connector. 

The holder is made of plastic and rubber, so ABS and silicone so that it is fixed and is hardy enough to both protect your SSD and the time of the time does not spoil whatever it is in the bag.

ORICO 2538C3 uses the USB-C standard and it uses USB 3.1 type C which can turn both days, it supports up to 5gbps which is the standard for USB 3.1, this is much more than most hard drives, so it's probably the hard drive or the SSD you choose there's the bottleneck when it comes to speed, 5gbps is the same as 625MB/s which is theoretically max, you should expect there is little loss but not much, you buy an SSD with a max speed of 500MB/s you can expect full utilisation of it. 

THE ORICO 2538C3 does not require any additional power supply, it only uses power from the USB cable that comes with it.
