Xiamois Mi Mouse uses Bluetooth 4.2 but is also backward compatible with all other Bluetooth versions - you can therefore use it with all Mac computers.

The practicality of this mouse over others is that it does not need a USB dongle if you want to connect it to a Mac, as the Mac has built-in Bluetooth. If you lend the mouse to an unfortunate Windows friend, there is a Bluetooth dongle that sits inside the mouse by the battery.

Once the mouse is connected to your Mac, never pair them again, just turn on the mouse and it will automatically connect to your Mac like an Apple mouse.

Once you've put the battery in the mouse, hold down the narrow elongated button on the top until it starts flashing blue between the button and the scroll wheel - it's not a bright blue light, so you may need to shade with your hand. When it blinks, you should be able to see the mouse named something like MiMouse 2 on the Bluetooth overview on your Mac.

Or via the included USB adapter, which must be in an available USB port on your computer, and then the mouse is connected.
