Here's an adapter that allows you to plug a network cable into your Macbook that lacks the connector that the adapter supports USB3.1 (USB type C) and Ethernet (network RJ-45) with up to 1gbps (1000 mbps) so you get the full speed out of your internet with this adapter.
Ethernet adapter supports Mac and you don't need any driver or anything else to make it work.

The adapter has USB 3.1 at one end, in he form and Ethernet rj-45 at the other end in she form, it means you can plug it into your Mac and get networks through the USB connector on your Mac.
The USB 3.1 port is the one in newer mac's with either Thunderbolt 3 ports or USB-C 3.1 port. This adapter works at full speed for both.
The adapter is backwardcompatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and Ethernet 10/100mbps, here the data speed is limited, USB 2.0 can only transfer 480 mbps and ethernet rj45 with 10mbps or 100 mbps can only transfer those speeds. USB 3.0 is not limited in speed as it is faster than the network port.
