    This product requires a USB-C adapter if you want to use it with a Mac that doesn't have USB. You can use an adapter that has other features as well, such as HDMI, to get two screens out of a normal adapter that usually only supports one. To use this product, you need to download the driver for displaylink. If you have a MacBook with M1, either Pro or Air, that only supports one screen, this product can provide an extra screen connection. However, you should be aware that this adapter runs over USB 3.0, which means that it bypasses your Mac's normal video output. As a result, your Mac uses its CPU and GPU to create and compress the image, which can slow down your computer if you don't have enough CPU and GPU power to spare in your daily work.
