Wireless microphone for iPhone and iPad is made for speaking, telling or presentation, where it is important that background noise is filtered out. To filter out background noise, it has some important features, the first and best being that the microphone sits right next to your mouth. It clearly works best and that is also what everyone else uses for all other systems. The microphone also has a chip to do active noise filtering - this also takes noise from the connection, and it makes the microphone work really well.

Wireless microphone for iPhone is the dream and we have been looking for it for a long time. The first thing we found were wireless Bluetooth microphones, but they have the problem that Bluetooth is never live, so the video sound gets a delay of up to a few seconds and it just does not work. However, there are solutions in the form of apps that can put the video together properly afterwards - but then it only works in a single app and not with eg Facebook live. It does not work.

This microphone uses 2.4GHz wireless transmission, which is real live, and it provides a stable connection of up to 20 meters - we would probably recommend staying a bit below that distance to ensure a stable connection and avoid audio outages.

The microphone consists of 2 parts. One part is a receiver that needs to be plugged into your iPhone in the Lightning port, and it gets power from your iPhone and is the device that receives the sound and redesigns it so your iPhone can put it into whatever video or app you use.

The second part is a microphone that requires power. Fully charged, the wireless microphone has a specified battery life of 10 hours of recording, but you should probably expect a little less in practice. However, there is still plenty of battery and it is not often that one has to record video for so many hours in a row. The microphone comes with a wind filter, which is the little black foam top that is on the microphone, and it takes most of the wind noise. If you are out in windy weather, you can buy a bigger and better wind hood and put it on this microphone.
