This little thing is one you put into a cable to make your device smart, it can be anything, e.g. a lamp, with the smart device here you can then control your lamp automatically either with the included app or also as part of a larger system where you have devices that depend on each other.

The Sonoff Basic wifi smart switch doesn't take up much space, it can be plugged anywhere, but it's probably a good idea to save it a little, however, it uses Wi-Fi, so inside a wall isn't obvious because Wi-Fi usually doesn't work very well when the devices can't see each other.

The app can do these things: time-off ignition, on/off both at home and at home, see energy consumption, several can control the bulb at once, and of all things you can control it through the WeChat app.

We expect the Sonoff Basic wifi smart switch to come with or for a software upgrade with homekit within a year. It doesn't need any devices to handle homekit, so we don't expect new hardware.
