This is the simplest smarthome product you can get, but that doesn't mean it's also limited, because with this adapter you can pretty much do everything smart one way or another, the adapter sits between your device and plugs the switch, here you can then use your mobile or an automatic feature to turn the device off, that's why it can do pretty much anything smart because anything that uses power can be used with this smart power connector with wifi for Alexa and google.

You can put it on your fridge, YOUR PC, your TV or something else, the fridge is not obvious, but if you put it before your socket for everything to do with your TV or PC then, for example, you can automatically turn off currents when you are not at home or turn on/off at night so you save power that was otherwise just used for your gizmos to be on standby. 

You can also put this together with other devices, e.g. with Xiaomi's smart set that comes with a feel so you can turn on and off when you open your head door or when you get home, you can also use it to make a lamp automatic with an emotion sensor so you always have light in e.g. the bathroom or in the hallway, without having to plug it in yourself.
