How much power does an iPad/iPhone/iPod need? And what can it use?

How big does an iPhone an iPad or iPod need? And how much can it use max? 

You can charge your iPhone or iPad with the charger that comes with it throughout its life, but you can also upgrade get a faster charge and get out the door faster. If you charge with a 10W charger instead of a 5W, it's going to be twice as fast. 

You don't ruin anything in your iPhone when you charge it faster, it's made to stick to it – so there's nothing to lose. 

It's a little interesting that the iPhone 1 came with a 5W charger and it's the same charger, completely, that comes with the iPhone 11 today – it's an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your iPhone. 

iPad is not so much to upgrade, most of them support only the charger they come with, but if you have a Pro it's great options to get a faster charge to it too.

Is a 27W charger as over 5x as fast as a standard 5w iPhone charger? 

Yes and No, you charge from 40-50% while your iPhone is a good temperature and it has nothing to do, then it's over 5x faster, but if you charge from 0-100% then it's not close at all, it's not actually the length it charges with 27W or head can charge with 27W That's only when everything is perfect. On average, there's not much difference between an 18W and a 27W charger because it's so soulful the charger actually provides 27W for your iPhone. 

We think the 18W is the best size charger for an iPhone 8 or later, it's small enough to carry, they don't actually take up much more than a 5w charger, but you get 95% of the speed from a 27W without having to carry around a 27W charger.

Please note that the iPhone's max can be charged with 10W via a USB-A cable, and max 27W with a USB-C for Lightning cable and with a charger that supports USB PD.
