    The MicRadar 24Ghz Human Presence Radar Sensor Module TTL (RCWL-0516) is a sophisticated sensor that utilizes Doppler radar technology to detect motion. This sensor is characterized by its high sensitivity, long detection range (3-5 meters), reliability, wide detection angle, and a broad voltage range for power supply. It is ideal for use in various applications such as lighting systems activated by human movement and burglar alarms.

    Advanced Technology and Features

    The sensor employs a special signal processing control chip, the RCWL-9196. It stands out from traditional infrared PIR sensors with its ability to detect through materials and comes with adjustable blocking time and distance settings. The sensor is also capable of providing a 3.3V power supply.

    Additional Functionalities

    Additional features include a 3.3V output voltage with a current capacity of 100mA, a ground connection (GND), and an OUT pin that controls the signal output. When motion is detected within the range, the OUT pin emits a high voltage. The sensor also includes a CDS trigger control signal, which allows for the deactivation of the detection function at night when connected to a photoresistor.

    Installation Requirements

    The sensor requires that there be no metal shielding in front of the detection surface and that there is at least 1 cm of space in front of and behind the detection surface. For optimal efficiency, it is crucial that the sensor is mounted parallel to the mounting surface. The sensor has a positive detection side, where the components are located, and a negative side, where detection is less effective. It is not recommended to use multiple microwave modules in the same area as this may lead to mutual interference.
