The Macbook holder is fine if you need the internal keyboard or touchpad on your mac, the cradle is durable and stable enough, but as with all other mac's stands, it works better with an external keyboard and mouse/touchpad. Therefore, it is ideal for an external monitor, external keyboard and mouse.
