A MicroUSB-to-Lightning connector allows you to borrow one of your friends' chargers, even if they're not in favor of Apple and iPhone. You'll be able to connect your iPhone 5s to one of the popular charging connectors for Android and Windows phones. Or do you have a speaker with 30pin input (the port that's on the iPhone 4s and earlier)? We have a fine 8pin-to-30pin adapter (8pin is the input on an iPhone 5 and later) that can just be plugged into the speaker's connector, which you can subsequently connect your phone to, and seamlessly play music on the system. The adapter obviously also works on other docks with 30pin port and they work with sound too.
