If you have been unlucky and have broken the outer link on your geocaching extractor where the original 3D printed thread was mounted, you can mount this thread on the next link on your extractor - the one that measures 6.6 mm at the top.
This will extend the life of your extractor and get a stronger outer link without losing about 50 cm of length.

The thread here fits the next thickness of the joint on our lightweight geocaching extractor, and it is mounted quite simply by filling some glue in the hole at the bottom of the thread, after which you put it on the extractor. If you use a very liquid glue, it is important that you lay the extractor horizontally while the glue hardens - preferably for 24 hours.
The thread at the top is the same size as our normal 3D printed thread, so you can continue to use your 3D printed tools.
