This is a single cable, it goes from USB-C (what's inside thunderbolt 3) to HDMI and it's 1.8m long, that means you can e.g. plug your Mac with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 together with a TV with HDMI port, it's fortunately the connector that's used the most. It's not just TV that uses HDMI, monitors use it too and so do projectors.

Both connectors are made of aluminum so both the connectors and the chips that are in the cable are protected from whatever happens to cables. The aluminum also makes the chip better cooled although it's definitely not a problem.

The cable is black and designed really well and strong, the connectors are reinforced and the cable is made of lylon so it is easy to fold the same and out again and it can be bent a little more than normal cables.

Technically, the cable with USB 3.1 type C in Han and HDMI 2.0 in he at the other end, this means that it supports resolutions up to 4k or UHD at 60 frames per second (60Hz). It also supports all other resolutions that are smaller and supports, for example, 1080p up to 240Hz.

The cable can handle up to 14.4 Gbit/s, HDR, networking, etc.

The cable comes from Baseus and is therefore really nice quality, fortunately they do not take as much money for them as others of the same quality take for the cables. 

The cable also supports Android phones with USB-C that can handle that connection. 

Right now, this cable supports all Macbook pro's from 2016 onwards and all macbook's with 12" display and finally iMac and iMac pro from 2017 onwards. That is, all Mac's with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 connectors.
